Overview
Cornucopia Wilderness Pack Station offers a variety of western horseback riding experiences in the Eagle Cap and Hells Canyon Wilderness Areas in Oregon. Adventures include day rides, extended wilderness trips, and Wilderness Horse Camps for ages 10-17 years.
This is western riding at its best, from spectacular river valleys, ridge tops, and along pristine alpine lakes, down to the bench land of Hells Canyon. Ride through forests, across alpine meadows, around clear blue lakes, and beneath the rugged granite peeks of the Wallowa Mountains. You may also want to ride down to the bottom of Hells Canyon, the deepest gorge in North America, to where the Snake River runs wild. On their trips, knowledgeable wranglers and packers will guide you through the mountains, and a cook will make sure you are well fed. Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, the wild beauty of the wilderness area will make sure you leave with a smile.
“We felt really well taken care of, in every detail. Great welcome, great mountains, great folks and fantastic things to see and do: spot wildlife in the mountain slopes while sitting be the campfire, reach amazingly beautiful valleys, swim in ice-cold lakes (our daughter remembers that vividly, she had so much fun), and eat great food. We hope to be back to experience the same mountains under the snow sometime!” Anne, France
Wilderness Horse Camps are summer horseback riding camps that cater to young people ages 10-17 years. These camps are held in the tree-covered mountainsides of the Eagle Cap Wilderness area in Oregon. You will ride into the mountains to explore the rough ridges and canyons like the pioneers who traveled the Oregon Trail. Along the trail, you will make lots of new two and four-legged friends you’ll never forget in the adventure of a lifetime!
“If you love to ride, love the outdoors, you will love Wilderness Trails…. The folks at Wilderness are the best.” Courtney, Florida
