The Lodge to Lodge Trail Riding Program in The Big Horn Mountains for the more experienced riders, is a new and unique equestrian program operated by The Hideout at Flitner Ranch. The Hideout at Flitner Ranch is known for offering the unique combination of an uncompromised working cattle experience during the day and upscale pampering, accommodations and food at night. Much as they believe that working cattle can go along with upscale accommodation and comfort, they believe that a long days trail riding can go along with upscale accommodations and comfort.
Explore the Cloud Peak Wilderness, Bighorn National Forest and The Hideout/Flitner lands in style with "camp to camp" horseback adventures”. "Point to point" horse tours travel over Hideout/Flitner private lands and National Forest Service lands, stopping after a days ride to be pampered at The Upper Hideout Lodge and Cabins, at 8200 feet, soak in the hot tub and sleep in the comfortable cabins of Snowshoe Lodge at 8600 feet, enjoy remote romantic cow camps and cabins or tent camps to which they added The Hideout touch of comfort to enable you to enjoy the million stars in style and grace. You might even sleep in partner lodges or teepees. This experience is about hiding out, pure mountain air, the smell of mountains, sage, pine and horses. Eat some dust on the trail and reward yourself for a job well done each night with good food, camaraderie and blissful rest under wide-open Wyoming skies, while sharing the adventures of the day.
Dawn brings breathtaking views in every direction and your hardest decision will be which mountain trails to explore! Each week rides or trails might be different, the country is vast, the groups small, allowing plenty of variety and flexibility.
