Overview
Sargent’s Holiday Farm horseback adventures and trail rides take place in Saskatchewan’s virgin prairie riverside. Ride through remote areas rich in white tail and mule deer, hawks, fox, coyote, squirrel, prairie chicken, the occasional moose, owl, Canadian geese, and eagles. Explore stunning river landings enriched with natural woodland and beautiful clusters of prairie flowers. Witness Saskatchewan’s spectacular sunsets while atop your trusty steed. Wander through spring’s green treed paths, or autumn’s golden trails fallen with crisp crunchy leaves. Try a roping lesson with a guide during a quite afternoon on the prairie, or give a toast with a metal mug of Saskatchewan beer (or a nonalcoholic beverage) and then try a hand at knightly jousting (foam lances of course). On one of your vacation days, you may also want to ride across the prairie in a casual cowboy way and help move the farm’s cattle to another pasture. After a leisurely day on the prairie, you will either return to the farm or setup camp. The cook will either have a delicious meal prepared, or will prepare a country supper around a blazing fire, with the sound of a guitar player strumming alongside the whispers of wildlife. Later on in the evening (if your trip is an overnight stay), you may enjoy telling ghost stories, cowboy poetry, or just get to know your fellow riders.
