Be a nomad. Wander the earth where no cars can go, ten times faster than you can walk. Bring a horse. Bring two. Take only pictures, leave only hoofprints. Travel through high desert valleys and mountains where gnarled juniper trees give way to sagebrush slopes and secret springs render red pine glades green. Mountain lion prints are common sightings and quail and chucker flush in front of the horses. Bird species from the Pacific and the Rockies overlap. Ridge Rider Expeditions invites you to come with them and learn to understand equine behavior, sample their fine trail horses and explore the roadless canyons of Northeastern California. They offer private, family or group seminars, to study communication, natural riding, teambuilding or horsepacking and traveling.
Ridge Rider Expeditions offers several different adventure horseback riding options including daytrips and camping/packing trips. All riding levels accepted. Reservations are available for the season (April-October), and off-season by special request. First come, first serve.
