Overview

Nature Quest is a tour guiding and packaging company whose primary focus is to teach people to see and love nature in the remote setting of the Pennsylvania Wilds. Nature Quest began as an offshoot of the well-established Mountain Trail Horse Center in 1998, expanding since then to the larger entity. Their expert guides bring a rich and intimate knowledge of the wildlife, ecology, scenery, natural history, and cultural history of this area; offerings are designed to both educate and entertain the guests in a personally-fulfilling format.

The Nature Quest philosophy is conservation through relationships. They believe that if they can show the uninitiated how to observe nature on a more intimate level, they will not be disappointed, and will, in fact, come to love nature. What one loves, one will value and protect. In connecting people with the natural world, Nature Quest teaches them that this is the real world - "there is nothing virtual about this reality". To support that, Nature Quest’s slogan of "once in a lifetime happens everyday" really helps visitors to understand the awesome complexity and beauty of the natural world.

Nature Quest provides the best guides and interpretation available, great food, and comfortable accommodations, all in a relaxed and friendly setting where memories will be earned by personal participation. The Mountain Trail Horse Center provides the highest quality trail ride experience available in the eastern North America, guides include some of the top experts in their field in Pennsylvania, and the Coach Stop, the historic lodge provides comfortable rooms and excellent food services for all adventures. Those who choose to stay in one of the remote camps to immerse themselves in the outdoor experience will enjoy comfortable safari-style outfitter tents and a sheltered campfire pavilion in which to relax and enjoy the company of the group.

Many of Nature Quest’s customers have become loyal and regular visitors, often forming personal relationships with other visitors and the guides.

Nature Quest offers year-round opportunities for guests to participate in the variety of wonder that the seasons have to offer. From the beauty of spring wildflowers and the songbird migration through the growth period of summer to the spectacular scenery and productivity of the harvest and finally to the peaceful splendor of winter, Nature Quest takes advantage of the diversity that's out there. They blend a full spectrum of recreational venues with the interpretation of nature to challenge and stimulate their guests.

    Cancellation Policy

    All cancellations are subject to a $10.00 per person handling fee up to $40.00, plus any incurring cancellation fees with our providers. In order to receive a refund, less the handling fee and provider fees, a notice of cancellation must be received 15 days prior to the first day of your visit and all vouchers must be returned. If the cancellation is less than 15 days, or if you don't show up for your package, you will forfeit the entire trip cost.
