Take a four-day horseback trip from the winter pasture near Bishop, California, to Frontier Pack Train's pack station in June Lake, CA. Join them while they herd their hourses and mules between their winter headquarters to the mountains (or reverse).
This is a trip for those who would like to experience the life of a cowboy. You will herd about 100 head of horses and mules along the trail. The horse drive is an active traveling trip for people of all ages and riding levels. Your tents and gear will be transported each day and will be waiting for you as you drive the stock into camp.
Don't miss four days of hospitality, home cooking and the thrill of the round up.
Frontier Pack Train matches guests with horses suited to their riding ability, whether you're a beginner or an expert. The horses are gentle and mountain trained.
All trips are full service and include three mountain gourmet meals a day, horse and tack, camp gear, and lots of tall stories and singing around the evening campfire. Personal gear and a sleeping bag is all that is needed.
